Lori N. Beals, O.D.

Dr. Lori Nichols Beals has been providing eye care at VisionOne since January 2003, and has been practicing in the Northwest Columbus area practicing since 1990. Dr. Beals graduated from Indiana University in 1986 with High Distinction with a B.S. in Music and Chemistry, and is a 1990 graduate from Ohio State University College of Optometry, cum laude. She is licensed by the Ohio Board of Optometry, including use of Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents. She is an auxiliary Faculty Member of the OSU College of Optometry, appointed to the Veteran’s Clinic here in Columbus since 1991, where she instructs optometry students in disease management including diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and eye infections. In private practice she also enjoys contact lens fitting, children’s eye care, and refractive surgery consultation.

Originally from Upper Arlington, Dr. Beals now resides in Grandview with her husband John and son Peter. She enjoys music, plays the flute and the piano, reading, and also likes to be outside bicycling, hiking, and traveling with her family.

Melissa Vetter, O.D.

Dr. Vetter attended The Ohio State University for her undergraduate and Optometric studies. She received the Vistakon Award for Excellence in Contact Lens Care her senior year in Optometry school and graduated in the top ten of her class. Upon graduation in 1988, Dr. Vetter was selected to do a one-year residency at the Columbus and Chillicothe Veterans Administration Medical Centers, where she received specialized training seeing patients with advanced medical and ocular conditions in a hospital setting.

After her residency, Dr. Vetter joined a large Ophthalmology practice in Concord, New Hampshire, where she enjoyed seeing her own patients as well as consulting with Ophthalmologists in the care of the low vision, contact lens, and post-operative patients. Dr. Vetter returned to the Columbus area and worked at The Ohio State University college of Optometry as a clinic instructor to the students, and at the Veterans Administration Outpatient Clinic in Columbus seeing patients and teaching Optometry students.

Dr. Vetter has been in practice in northwest Columbus since 1992. She joined Vision One in 2010, but has known Dr. Beals since college.

Dr. Vetter has served as an examiner for the National Board of Examiners in Optometry for many years helping to license new Optometrists, and volunteers her time with the Prevent Blindness of Ohio organization. She has enjoyed serving as a judge for the Central Ohio District Science Fair projects related to vision and helping students understand their eyes and vision at career days. Dr. Vetter enjoys seeing patients of all ages, the most challenging of contact lens patients, and treating eye disease. She likes to treat patients as if they were part of her family.

In her spare time, Dr. Vetter enjoys snow skiing, boating, jet skiing, golf, reading and running her three children to their multitude of activities. She lives in Hilliard with her husband, Bruce, their three children, Mitch, Tessa and Tory, and their dog, Teddy.

Jenifer L. Haas, L.D.O.

Jenifer Haas has been in the optical business since 2000. She graduated from The Ohio State University's Fisher College of Business with a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration, specialization in Marketing. Jenifer is licensed in the State of Ohio and is ABO Certified.

Originally from Cincinnati, Jenifer has worked in many different optical environments and is now the full-time licensed optician for VisionOne.

Linda Pilcher, L.D.O

Linda is a licensed optician with 18 years of experience. She works part time at VisionOne and is a mom to two grade school girls. She enjoys interesting eyewear and singing.

Lacy Litteral

Lacy is a part time optometric technician at VisionOne Optical. She is currently enrolled at The Ohio State University as an undergraduate art student.

Kelly Blanton

Kelly is an experienced optician who works on Saturdays at VisionOne and full time at a clinic downtown. She enjoys working with people, and music, including opera.

Brandon McFadden (future O.D.)

Brandon is currently an Optometry student at the Ohio State University. Originally from Colorado, he enjoys working with patients with all their optical needs.

Becca Clough (future O.D.)

Becca is currently a student at the OSU College of Optometry. She will help you with eyewear selection and adjustments, contact lens handling and ordering, and scheduling.

Comprehensive eye exam

Your eye exam will be comprehensive and specific to your needs. Dr. Beals will typically spend thirty minutes or more with you. Your vision refraction, eye coordination, and eye health will be assessed, including glaucoma screening, cataract evaluation, visual field assessment, and retina exam including evaluation for macular degeneration and diabetic problems.
